Thornton Tomasettis Fall 2012 Annual Photo Exhibition

Introduction
Whether through our design work or just by walking down the street, we come into contact with the built environment daily. The title and theme of this year’s photography exhibition, “Connecting New to Old in the Built Environment,” addresses the various types of contact that we make with our surroundings, as well as the layers of brick and mortar that remind us what a place was, is and will be. Photography gives us the chance to look into the past, see and document the present, consider the future and ponder the connection between all three. This year’s theme explores and challenges the idea of “connections” in the built environment. We hope that you enjoy and are inspired by the interpretations on this theme.

We thank our Managing Principals for their ongoing support, which allows us to continue this annual event that lets us gather and admire the creativity and “captured moments” of our employees. We also thank all of those who participated in this year’s exhibition and to our jurors Sherry Aliberti, David Byrd and Scott Lomax.
